Dead Printers for spare parts?

I have an old HP printer that is being replaced. Are there any parts like steppers etc that are worth the effort to remove for ATMing, or should I just take it down to Ye Old Transfer Station and dump it?

Matt

Gday Matt

Depends on printer type, but there are normally some good axles and gears in the older bubblejet types.
They do have steppers, but not really powerful.
Might work on focussers etc

( who has several boxes of bits from inside printers :-) )

Pull it apart there could be something you spot that may inspire a project.
