TTP and what it means for us

Hi Guys,

Has anybody got an idea what the new trade agreement means for us Oceanians in regards to buying gear from the USA?

I mean, Can we now just buy some new Celestron kit from Optcorp and they are legally allowed to sell to us, i.e?

Cheers

TPP won't change anything re. Celestron, Meade (et al.)

The 'exclusivity' deals between the US companies & local retailers in our neighborhood are what dictates inflated prices, not any international trade agreements.

Carry on as normal...

The only thing affected were import restrictions / duties. I don't think that there were any on scope gear (GST doesn't count as an import duty) so no change for us.
