Carina

Hey guys, I haven't had much time for this hobby over the busy season, hence why I haven't been on the forum a lot lately, but I have found more time over the past couple of weeks, which is a great feeling!

I received my stepper motor kit, and managed to learn SGP. I must say, the autofocus routing is amazing. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it did. I noticed the TOA-150 would drop out of focus quite quickly, which made it impossible to head inside whilst imaging. With the autofocus it stayed in focus the whole night:eyecup:

Rounds stars all the way in the corners too with the 67 Flattener, and my piece of cut drain pipe as a spacer!

I have imaged this one before, but I wanted to test everything on a bright easy target.

It's 5.5 hours at 600 seconds each with the QHY10

I know in my last image i burned out the stars when processing, I tried not to this time, still not good at using the star mask.....think they turned out ok though?

A really lovely set of photos Erik. It must have been satisfying to finally get the time.
Well done.

Nice wide field with crisp detail. Very nice Erik. To me the colours are a bit muted, but then I'm one of those people that always likes to crank up the saturation.

Thanks Geoff, yeah now when I look at it I know what you mean, boosted the saturation, and pulled the brown out of the background. Still maybe a little to vibrant for me, but I'm undecided.

Nice images Erik. I like the drainpipe spacer. Bit of bush engineering that we sometimes have to do!

Greg.

Thanks Marc This repro is for you then Although now when I look back at the original, it is very pale... I think I ruined the star colours though
