NGC 3576 in HST

Hi All,

A couple of clear nights in Melbourne, Ha one night OIII and SII on another.

About 16 hours worth of data, seeing not too flash especially early in the evening when everything is cooling off, a little bit of wind about as well.

Larger version here

Cheers
Stuart

Very fine, Stuart. The high-res shows lots of detailed structure. Nice work.

Best,

That's a ver nice image Stu, lovely colours too, really like the way you colour your NB images.

Please don't take this as criticism but I recently discovered a trick to remove those blue/cyan haloes around the stars in PS.

It's filters>noise>remove colour noise 80%. works a treat!

Just mentioning it as I'm also working on this and another target we have both imaged, being NGC 2467.

Great stuff Stu.

Quite an impressive image Stuart. The statue of liberty is very easy to make out as well.

Very impressive Stuart. The choice of palette is unusual but it turned out well.

Cheers

Nice - the cyans contrast dramatically and really show up the "Statue of Liberty" part.

like the colour Stuart and the dynamic range has been well handled - very striking image overall.
