a few quick ones - now with added sulphur

Well ... we all know about the weather ... it has not been good.

Clear night last night but windy/gusty as till about 3 (not forecast :/

so decided to nab some quick data on eta carina and later when it turned still i went for the antennae galaxies.

i have had some tilt issues which became more evident in using the qhy22 http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...d.php?t=141200 so got a 2" extension tube to the focuser from moonlite. It may be slightly too long as part of the focuser tube is now inside. i might need to get the 1" externsion tube. I think it is an improvement.

Anyway 2x eta Ha and Oiii (Ha-HaO3-O3 and Ha O3 O3) the antennae is a blend of old DSLR colour data (only about 25 mins worth) and about 40 mins of Luminance from the qhy22 (first time using luminance -still awaiting RGB filter delivery ...).

I might get some S2 tonight for carina if i have time, I really wanted to nab the rosette neb but i'm running out of time (trees!).

EDIT added 2 versions now with 1 hr S2 (one subdued one fluoro) Hubble Palette

EDIT 2 added a new antennae mix

Clear skies

Your Antennae look a lot nicer than what it did through my eye piece on Friday night. Through a 5" scope it looked like a barely disernable smudge hehe Probably would have been a bit better a few hours later on in the evening; higher in the sky.

cheers, yeah a bit of an experiment- not too shabby i think for a dirty 25 mins or so of warm dslr on a dim target. hope you had a good w'end of scoping

Yep indeed been a long while, plus still working on getting the system working its kind of hard to get close when sessions are so far apart.

Managed to nab 1 hour of S2 last night so added it to the Carina, i think it does a lot of good. 2 versions added to OP.
