EOI: MoonLite High Resolution Stepper Motor + Controller

Hi guys,

Just testing the water to see if anyone has a Moonlite stepper motor and V2 controller. Not exactly sure what price range these would go second hand so any feedback would be appreciated.

Would the V1 controller work with the Newer Stepper motors from Moonlite? Not sure on the differences between the v1 and v2.

Thanks for looking..

Hi - I have 4 Moonlites from some V1 some V2 both work with old V1 controllers - you just have to be careful and only have one driver - if you install the newer driver make sure you uninstall the old one because you will get com port conflicts.

Hi Andrew,
What scope would the Moonlite be for? I have a 2"Cs for Sct /rc scopes that I'm thinking of selling. I have used it on both a rc and refractor, but not sure if it'll be usable for your newts. Ron from Moonlite might be able to answer that question. No controller either though. I used mine through my Hitech astro hub.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for your reply Geof, I will keep the driver issue in the back of my mind.

I already have the Moonlite focuser, it is a CR2 model I believe, it is currently on a 8" f/4 Newtonian. So different focuser for the RC's and SCTs.

Thanks for your reply.
