Celestron C5 problem

hi All,
help required please,
to repair / remove,

I have a C5 SCT with smudge markings on the
inside of the front corrector,

is it possible to remove & clean the front plate?,

if so, to achieve cleaning, do you go in from the
front or back,
or leave well enough alone,

there again I could sell it cheap,
to some one who could clean the front plate,

regards,
Peter

There is plenty on line to help you, even a video on YouTube of a fellow dismantling a C6. You go in from the front, but read up on it.

Peter - further to Doug's post above, have a squiz at the following

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Pi6VcH38pc

It specifically deals with C6/C8 disassembly, but I'd be surprised if the C5 presented any differences - same design & structure.
