DIY Dew controller

I"m looking to make a simple Pwm dew controller for my C8 and found these on eBay. I'm wandering if someone knowledgable in this area could tell me if these would work with a standard C8 heater strap. All I would have to add is the RCA socket and power socket?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-50V-20...3D191276751731

I know these controllers are made by Astrozap etc and have more features and channels but they cost a bit. All I want is a single channel controller.

Thanks in advance for any info

Nick

Nick, I use a 10 Amp version of that controller on my Dew Not Dew Strap.
That looks like a good buy. I had to supply my own box and RCA socket.
Just remember to switch it on when you put the scope out to cool down before observing. It is a waste of time switching it on after dew has already formed.

I've only ever used 50 Ohm Pot's as dew controllers but I don't think I could buy the pot's as cheap as that PWM.

I might buy a couple and try them out.
