Viewmaster moon landing shots.

Hi All

I helped my parents move last year and came across some Viewmaster reels from the 1969 moon landing, amongst others.

I have been able to photograph them, and attached are some of the results.

I hope you enjoy!

Philip

Phillip I have that very same reel !
Wow this brings back memories.
This Viewmaster Reel and The World Book Encyclopaedia Childcraft Vol 4 sparked my interest in Astronomy
and led me to getting my first Japanese Tasco 40mm variable 10x to 50x scope.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I also had a viewmaster which I used for at least 5 years. I had about 20 - 30 reels.

Good nostalgia, thanks Philip!

What is the stereo effect like? I thought they only took a Hasselblad to the moon, I hadn't heard they took stereo pairs. If they did it would be interesting to see if the 2" originals were available. We might suggest Dr Brian May do stereo slides of them (http://www.londonstereo.com/)
