Do you have Robofocus and a voltmeter? Kindly run a continuity test for me! :)

Hi guys

I am attempting (unsuccessfully) to make a standard Robofocus DB9 to RJ-11 cable. This cable runs from the USB to Serial converter (in my case, Keyspan USA-19HS) directly to the Robofocus controller (specifically, the RJ-11 'PC' port). In relation to the attached pictures, grateful if you would run a continuity test and confirm what DB9 pin numbers (pins 1-9) correspond to what pins on the RJ-11 'PC' port (pins 1-6). For ease of reference, the RJ-11 pins for the 'PC' input pictured below go left to right, let's call them: 6 l 5 l 4 l 3 l 2 l 1 P.S. Also, you may like to insert a small safety pin into the DB9 pin ends to enable you to test each pin with a voltmeter. Once I have this info, I will also email Technical Innovations and ensure it is captured in their manual.

You might like to fill in the blanks! Thanks in advance!

DB9 pin 1 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 2 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 3 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 4 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 5 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 6 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 7 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 8 --- RJ11 pin ?
DB9 pin 9 --- RJ11 pin ?

Looks like there are 2 different motors - each have different pinouts !!
Hurst and Nippon PF

Charles. Spot on! Success! Thank you!!!!

Thanks Rally. I have read the manual but the info I required was not apparent. I've got the stepper motor wiring sorted, which is a separate issue (I made my own motor with 300:1 reduction from Hurst v.s. the 70:1 with standard motor - heaps more torque and steps).
