Lightning Crawlers missing the Q1 Building

Stuck under a bridge whilst lighting and rain abound, what a blast !
This location will one day produce multiple strikes on that Iconic Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise one of these nights but not this time
3rd capture (nice CG) is from 10k nth, Paradise Point, same night.

Long term forecast suggests more of the same next weekend with possible embedded 'lows', could be more rain which is always a good thing

Awesome! I recon I'd feel a bit giddy hearing it pop and buzz overhead, even from under a bridge.

Awesome shots. Good thing there are other things to photograph when we can't see nebula! 😆

I can almost smell the lightning Bob, wide lens? 12mm or abouts ??

Had over 2" steady rain up here since yesterday, bliss!

So we are off to the great ocean road for a two week tour tomorrow, maybe the weather could be warmer down there!

These shots were definitely worth hiding under that bridge! The colours are so spectacular.

I think I've mentioned elsewhere how envious I am that you northerners have these sorts of storms, and this is why. As well as that nice clean ozone smell afterwards :-)
Nice shots mate.

Great shots. We don't get many storms like that.
Cheers Reverend.

Its becoming a popular past time around here last few yrs, every man with his camera turns up sometimes, well in the popular spots!

Mind you, there's been about 30 storm over the area this way last few weeks, tho only a couple have made it close to home so far, gotta be our turn again soon, , we let everyone else have a taste and then the Big One will come Straight as Us
