RS232 to Bluetooth

The new SkyBT unit by Simulation Curriculum is a RS232 to bluetooth adaptor to interface serial telescope controllers to bluetooth, from the same people that made SkyFi. It's intended for Android tablets which can be a bit awkward with the adhoc wifi network of SkyFi.

I'm wondering about generic eBay RS232-BT units like these though, which cost a fraction as much. Do they serve the same basic function and would, in practice, do exactly the same thing? Are they easy to set up and work straight out of the box or is there a lot of configuration to do to get them to work?

Interesting..
Recently I started playing with OnStep, equipped with BT and USB.
BT connection is used to connect telescope to android device, and there is no (free) sky chart program for android.. so this gadget could be the necessary wireless interface between PC and telescope.

Wathching this space..
