Astro talk in Sydney, Thursday 29 October

Distinguished astronomer Professor Joss Bland-Hawthorn (University of Sydney) is going to take you time-travelling back to the first stars, and discuss how astronomers are looking for their light. Along the way he'll discuss a few Nobel Prizes, and there'll also be some cool astronomical demos.

Professor Bland-Hawthorn is a leader in the field of astrophotonics and is working on amazing devices, including one that filters out emission from the Earth's atmosphere.
