Fornax A, strange object

Hi guys,

Last new moon I started what I hope to be a big project on fornax A and surrounds with my NP101. While looking at the data today I stumbled across a n irregular looking object in the shot. I have ringed it here for clarity. It could be a distant galaxy, or possibly as its edges are fairly sharp a PN? All the plate solving software I have does not mark it.

Cheers for looking.

No idea, Peter but I'm liking what I see; can't wait to see the finished project!

Nice image Peter. It would be worth doing a long exposure of this galaxy. Have a look at the Damien Peach image of this one It has a shelled structure like a super long exposure of Cent A does.

Greg.
