Orion EON 120mm ED Refractor plus Skywatcher AZ EQ5 mount

This is only on the market as I have upgraded to a bigger APO!!


Orion EON 120mm ED OTA….. features include
- 120mm FPL-53 doublet @ f7.5 900mm focal length
- Dual-speed 2” 360 degree rotatable focuser
- 1.25” adaptor
- William Optics style (hinged) tube rings with Vixen style dovetail
- Dovetail finder scope bracket
- Retractable dew shield with metal lens caps
- Foam padded carry case

Skywatcher AZ EQ5 Goto Mount
- German Equatorial / Alt-Azimuth Dual Mode with Version 4 Synscan controller
- HEQ5 style tripod (I went with this option rather than the pier style which is too short for visual use)
- 2x 3.5kg counterweights
- Payload = 15kg


Both the OTA and the mount are in absolutely immaculate condition – and any inspection is welcome.

Prefer local pickup (metropolitan Adelaide) but happy to provide size/weight details if you would like to organize insurance/shipping.

I am considering splitting the package. However, I would like to sell the mount first prior to offering the OTA for sale.

In terms of interested purchasers obtaining a cost for insurance/delivery......I do still have the shipping boxes.......

Box 1 (Head plus acc) 46cm x 47cm x 32cm, weight = 11kg

Box 2 (Tripod plus C/W) 24cm x 24cm x 125cm, weight = 18kg


In terms of pricing, I checked a couple of authorised Skywatcher dealers and Bintel are asking $1,999, MyAstroShop $1,899 and Adelaide Optical, where I purchased mine $1,899.

Given its only a few weeks old and has been only used (literally) once...... I am asking $Mount Sale Pending with shipping/insurance paid for by the purchaser.
