A busy area near the Lagoon.

Given the terrible weather in Victoria, the individual images were opportunistic taken over a 2 month period.

LRGB image 4.5 hrs L, 1 hr each RGB
BRC-250 scope STXL-11002.

High resolution.

It has been properly terrible in Vic this year, I can attest to that! So many stars to get lost in there, very nicely done.

I am noticing a lot of random red pixels scattered throughout the image though, only red though.

Looks good to me Steven. Nice star colour and good composition. What was that old joke about Melbourne weather? If you don't like it then you only have to wait 5 minutes for it to change.

Just outstanding Steven. Love it when you put up pics with the BRC250/11000 combo, and you have the rig singing well. Nice subtle processing, but the detail goes in so far in the hi-res.

Your Tak BRC really seems to have the best of the RC and Newt worlds. Fast F5 and decent FOV, but great resolution with FL nudging over 1m. Makes sense for speed of imaging too (when there are no clouds!)

I really like the surround star field and the general colour of your image. Around the blue reflection nebulosity I think you could boost the detail level and saturation od bit as well as near the emission areas. Its a very good image at present, but some adjustments it wouls be outstanding in my opinion.

I don't agree Rob about f5 being right for an RC. Whilst f8 is slower, it does give a longer focal length which is great for small objects.

No dis-respect meant to traditional RC's I guess Paul - FL and camera combo a very personal choice of course and GSO has done a fantastic job tearing open the market to those that haven't won the lotto. I guess at the focal length's I'm used to there is an amazing degree of detail here in this pic. The impossible search for the perfect telescope rig never ends!

I agree with Kevin, a clear looking image (despite all the red pixels) with great colours and a lovely natural feel, a solid pretty picture Steve, nice job

Not sure how the noise ended up only in the red frames.
Had to use remove hot pixel command in CCDsoft for each individual r image.
Pixinsight couldn't handle it.

The BRC-250 is a great scope.
Another reason for the 1250mm FL, it doesn't doesn't put great stress on the tracking performance of a non too spectacular mount.
