Orion 5mp starshoot

I purchased a Orion Starshoot 5MP solar system colour imager, the problem is the software it comes with is very clumsy. Any suggestions as to what would be a better program to acquire and stack my planetary images. I am new to astrophotography. Cheers John

Hi John,

I suggest you try some programs that allow you to evaluate before purchasing. e.g Nebulosity, Backyard EOS, APT or Astroart springs to mind.

These all support different types of cameras, yours could be on their list.

Regards

Bill
