Sunrise in the West

Last Friday evening we took a 3 hour flight from Oslo to Longyearbyen in Norway. We left Oslo an hour after sunset. As we flew north the Sun rose in the west. The Sun was still shining when we arrived at midnight. Longyearbyen is at latitude 78 north, just 1300 km from the north pole. The Sun rises on April 17 and sets on August 25.

Same. SWMBO wants to go to europe next year. If we do, that's going on the itinery.
