The Bug nebula in scorpius

This object is 1.4x 0.4 arc minutes across with a photographic mag of 13 . I knew with my 120ED working at F6 it would be small but thought 2 minutes would be enough at the magnitude quoted by skysafari. However looking at the pics , full size and cropped , I could have tried a shorter exposure. Anyway the first picture is made up of 40 x 2min subs and the second a cropped version.

That's a challenging object. You'll need some serious FL to image that one. It's bright alright but tiny. Good result though.

Good job. I must have a go at it one day when the weather god permits.

Thanks for all the comments , I'll have to swap scopes round and try with the c9.25". However the ease of using the ED120 is held me back ( and a bout of lower back pain).
