Astrofest Offerings

We had an excellent run of clear skies this year.
The wide field of the Milky Way is first light for my new Canon 24mm Pancake lens. It was hooked up to the Canon 550D and mounted on the Polarie.
The Tarantula shot has deliberately been over cooked in processing to pull out the richness of the star field. I'll be able to continue adding to this image now that I have clear skies to the south.
M83 and M33 need more data too, but I thought I'd share them anyway.

A fine haul. The colour and depth in M83 are especially good.

Very cool serie JJJ. My pick would be the milky way shot and NGC6744. You've been busy.

Thanks.
The 550D is in it's element when the temps are below 5C.

I got an email yesterday asking if the Milky Way shot can be the "Astronomy Foundation's Image of the Week".
Totally chuffed.

The wide field is my favourite JJJ. The colour balance is superb. Composition is lovely too.
