NGC6589 6590 in Ha

This is an object I had not planned on imaging but decided to image while I wait for my STXL to be repaired.

This is 6 hours of integration and I am quite surprised at the level of detail and the amount of Ha contained within this area.

The last time I imaged this area was before I went to remote imaging, I did not collect Ha data on that occasion and I did not collect much data overall. This time I intend to collect around 15-20 hours or data just to really do it justice. I think the dark nebula is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Very nice Paul. Excellent detail!
May I ask what sub lengths they were?

Hi Scott, the subs were 30 minutes each. Even with that I had to stretch the final image quite a bit.

I am really envious of those FSQ106 scopes, very nice Ha image there, looking forward to seeing it once it's complete.

Wow thirty minute subs and you still had to push the data. This must be very faint. Nice details starting to come through. I like your original version also. Can't wait to see the finished product this time around.
