Well it is going to be a slow trip south returning home after TasTroFest in Ulverstone. We probably have snow at Tinderbox but it will no doubt have melted by the time we get home.
Steve.

Isn't snow at sea level common in oz? Back in pommie land of course, snow at sea level was as common as snow anywhere else!

Steve.
Bad news. everything is closing down south of Launi. Midland HW is blocked for about 100 km. Kingston is isolated. Southern outlet is blocked. Nothing South of Hobart is working. schools closing Trees coming down around here. Its like friggin NARNIA outside. Beautiful beyond description... Reckon I'll be locked in for a couple of days : lol:

I was on the phone this afternoon booking some accommodation for a trip in November. The lady I was talking to said something about a snow & thunder storm.

Yes my sister sent some pics tonight of maybe 2 cm of snow covering her deck and garden earlier today - in Newtown on the north side of Hobart city.

The blue mountains had far more 2 weeks ago

Saw that on the morning news. Pretty cool. Last time it happened apparently was in 1986. They also say people are making snowmen on the beach in Hobart.

We actually bashed through a bottle of Mulled Blackberry last night. Wowser! We have been wine making for a couple of years now so the supply is adequate at the moment... couple of hundred blackberry, 500+ cherry, 100+ raspberry 100 or so quince and some other stuff.

No worries really.... Death by pickling...

Some pics from NARNIA attached
