4WD hire options for travel in WA.

I'm planning to take a cruise next year - one that will terminate in Perth in early March. And I thought I might hire a 4WD while over there and do that drive up the coast I've always wanted to do - Broome etc.

I was wondering if anyone in IIS had any experience with particular hire companies or had any suggestions for making the trip special.

Whoever you hire from make sure you are allowed to take the vehicle along the roads you plan to travel. All companies will have some restrictions (eg Canning Stock Route ) but some are quite picky about where you can go, especially in the 'softer' models.

To make the trip special spend 6 months doing it . Failing that I always reckon you should see fewer things well than everything in a blur. So, what sort of things do you like, how long have you got and how much do you like driving?
