Last Thursday I flew to Sydney to See Ryan Adams ( not Bryan Adams!) with the support act of Jenny Lewis.
It was a superb gig, both were excellent and being I am a big Ryan fan, was pleased to be able to see him in Aus.
Jenny Lewis I hadn't really heard of - ex singer with Rilo Kiley, but she was really excellent too. A great night out, unfortunately had to fly back the next day for work. Well worth the effort and much to my Wife's great amusement, I even had a little dance!!
Anyone interested in great song writing in a country Rock indie style should check out Ryan's pretty large collection of solo albums, and even his earlier work with the band Whiskeytown- that is more country than rock but equally great.
