*Price Drop* Event Horizon SCT Motorised Focuser (LX200 compliant)

Bought the EV2-CM a few years back with the intention of getting into astrophotography with my 10" LX200, needless to say that never happened. Purchased a fair white back but never been used.

Although it will fit any SCT the MOTOFOCUS unit can plug directly into the LX200 "Focus" plug so that focusing can be controlled directly from an AutoStar hand controller. It is however recommended that the MOTOFOCUS unit is used as it has breaks and zero back lash (information from the manufacturer).

Just tested the motor on my LX200 and it works fine, first time it's even been used I think! The supplied hand controller just uses a standard 9V battery, not supplied with one however.

I discovered about half an hour ago that the focuser has the ability to ability to rotate which can be very useful for image rotation and placement.

I am pretty sure that it is this model of focuser that can be connected to a computer through a Shoestring cable of some description for automated focusing routine through any number of focusing software applications. Someone with more knowledge on the matter may be able to confirm/deny this comment though.

Asking $400 posted anywhere in Australia.
