Very fine work Zac, a beautiful sharp image with much less artifacts. It's an area of the moon i'm yet to image so your fine image has given me some inspiration to give it a go!

What phase is this area best imaged at?

PS: from august 12! You're a bit behind in your processing

Hello, Zac

That is a spectacular image of this very interesting and popular region. The detail in the central peaks of Theophilus is quite extraordinary. I can easily resolve these mountains into peaks, ridges, faces and gullies. I would love to climb there!

Cheers

Dennis

That is a special shot Zac. One of my favourite areas around the 4-5 day old moon. I look at that area all the time and I don't think I've seen Cyrillus "twinning" Theophilus so well. Cyrillus looks like a faded, ghostly mirror of Theophilus.

Hey Mike

Actually I finished processing a lot of my Sep 2 and Aug 12 imaging a while ago but I'm just too lazy to post anything. I usually run several copies of Registax (with different avis) overnight so the processing goes quickly.
