June 20th Conjunction.

I nearly didn't post this, as there are no pretty foreground objects to frame an albeit very pretty conjunction.

Perhaps of more interest is the Canon 135mm F2.0 L series used to take the picture.

I had read a number of reviews and test reports that all waxed lyrical about this lens prior to its purchase. I'm now a convert.

It's simply remarkable (note the clearly resolved Galilean moons... at just 135mm ) Probably the sharpest L-Series in their entire line-up, and very affordable !

Anyway hope you enjoy the view. The link is here

Fantastic!

The assymetry of the diffraction spikes is something I've never seen before - looks like a pinwheel fan. Any idea as to why?

Nikon's 135 f2 is regarded as one of their sharpest lenses - hasn't been updated optically in 25yrs (according to the interwebulator)
