popular science/astro books

Looking for recommendations re above as I have run out of reading. Have read the usual stuff i.e. Paul Davies/ Fred Watson etc.
Don't mind if its astro' or other sciences. Just an entertaining read for the cold Winter nights. Do like a good history book as well -currently reading the Dunkirk book by Max Hastings.
Thanks
Graham

Found this actually a nice read and informative for the beginner. Goes into the creation of the solar system etc etc.

History - barry cunliffe never really disappoints (if you are happy to go back a long way in history).
