M20 Triffid reprocessed. turned out to be my best M20.
Trying to get the blue surrounding the red/pink in the triffid . Here's a reprocessed version i did. since it is pouring down rain in melb, might just reprocess some of my old pics.
Very nice image again Eric, but you really need to work on the method you use to create a websize image - there's a LOT of compression artifacts in that image, which shouldn't really be there given the size.

The Gimp does a good job of jpeg compressing images, gives you a lot of control to fine tune the compression parameters and you can preview the results.

working on it boss. ill try the gimp as steve suggested. thanks. the way i normally do it is save full scale image in photoshop after processing then convert to 8bit. save that.
open windows paint and resize it in there eg: 50% . then add my info to the pic and save that as tif. then save again in paint as jpg. what i should have done is resize it in photoshop then add details in paint and save as .jpg using photoshop again.
Why can't you add the text and other details in photoshop? Just add them as new layers and save the PSD file for later reference, resize the image to 800px wide (or so), and then do a "save to web". You can then select the jpeg compression quality until you see it drop to under 150k.
You set it to Bulb mode and you can take exposurs as long as you want.
This can be done with a small bit of hardware such as canon timer release for about $25 or done with software combinned with some adapters and your off and running.
Or simply by holding your exposure button down in bulb mode but this would be an awful way to image

No need to bother with the Gimp if you already have Photoshop. Just stay away from Paint. That's the cause of the problem! Like most other things from that company , it's a junk piece of software.
