Not a bad effort at all! Great colour.

Is there some sort of reflection across the bottom of the frame?

Oooo, that pops out beautifully! I like the depth and the colour saturation, lovely capture and processing. Slight pity about the glow across the bottom, but I'm in no position to criticise anyone for gradients, and it's a trivial detraction to a great image. Well beyond 'beginner' standard

Thanks for the comments.

I didn't notice the gradient on the bottom before I posted it. I'll have another go at it and see what I can do.

Michael I'll have to create an Astrobin account because the high res image is a lot nicer.

I'll create a link here when I set up an account.

Hi Kev,
Lovely capture , so clear and sharp. Lovely colours. Maybe one of your best to date. Hope to see many more pics now the observatory and new telescope are up and running. Weather looks like its against us for a while though.

I tried removing the gradient in StarTools but couldn't totally get rid of it, so I reprocessed it and cropped the offending area out.

Nice job mate!
Love the colour, you got the saturation pretty nicely set.
Also love how the dust lane stays very visible beyond the central cone of light...usually fades away at that point on my images.

Great job.
