Question Registax problem.

I find Registax 6 works fine on my JPG images but when I try to run it on my TIF images created from the RAW images, the program gets stuck while doing the alignment step. My PC is quite powerful, Intel i-5 proc. plenty of HDD space and 8GB memory, running in 64bit mode. Any thoughts anyone?

Why don't you just stack the RAWs ? I only save as TIF at the end.

Registax 6 will not operate on RAW files.
I'm giving Deep Sky Stacker a go.

My Registax 6.0 doesn't like the size of Canon T3 file. It crashs. To run the wavelets of Registax 6.0 in Tiff files from Canon, I need crop or reduce the image.
Maybe this is the problem with you, also.

I can run RAW files from ASI and SPC without any problem. Registax 6.0 hasn't decode for CR2 files.

Jorge, I couldn't even load my RAW files into Registax. The program just doesn't recognise them, which is why I converted them to TIF files. They are from a Nikon D90 with suffix .NEF . Perhaps if I rename them to .RAW, I might get them to load. Anyway, I'm having a go with DSS which does load my files.
