Wink ngc 300 galaxy

Hi all,
just cleaning up another lum that needed some colour to it.
Man what a hot day for spring, 36degs and tonight was around 22 degs.
The wind was gusting and throwing dust around the place due to stuff all rain through winter.
But now the change has hit....
I guess many are experiencing this weird spring weather around Oz, still, the Earth she's a changin' and I'd say more bad stuff is a comin' our way.
Hope they invent a cloud zapper one of these days, we might soon be needing it, either that or get into rocketry and send our scopes into geo stationary orbit.

Hard getting any decent colour on this image, could have gone for at least twice as much data. Was happy with the lum though.
Did it last year with 8min subs, should have gone for this instead of 6.
Had a rather large gradient to deal with so had to leave it a little more darker than I would normally... bla bla bla, sorry for dribbling with my dramas.
Here's the link if you'd like to take a look, hit the right thumb on my front page..

Hope the skies have been good for you all this night.
Cheers for now
Rich
PS.
Love these little smilie thingies !

Very nice image, Rich! Lovely detail and colour.

A word of advice about your homepage, I don't see the new images until I refresh the page. You might want to put in some code so that the page is reloaded every time.

Fantastic image Rich,
I know what you mean about the dust in the air I was riding home from work and at 100kph with a open face helmet I felt like I was being sand blasted.

cheers

Thank you Scott, Houghy and Ric for your great comments.!

Yep Houghy, love this hobby/ obsession, once the bug bites, it keeps on biting As you all know!
If it's a clear night where ever I am, my eyes gaze skyward.

Ric, lucky it wasn't a swarm of bees, ouch!
Like your little squirrel (??) on your avatar, is that the little guy form the CaddyShack film that had Bill Murray as the crazed groundsman?

Cheers for now
Rich

Hi Rich,
Just found him surfing around the net one day and took a shine to him.
I haven't encountered bee's yet, but I have caught a Bogon moth in the eye once which left me with a classic shiner for a week.
Oh the joys of motorcycling, I love it.

cheers
