Not sure why that news site blurred her face and number plates...?
Here's the original sans blurring, and a better viewing experience than that news sites dodgy player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G80jxwoWdjI
I reckon the driver filming displayed the patience of a saint. Much better in 1080p can see every detail. Seriously some people should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car.
Well, they haven't a clue what they are doing and no idea of where the ends of the car are. Unfortunately I've seen and heard of worse (eg parking across 3 spaces in a car park). Close manouvouring is one of my bug-bears; it just isn't taught properly and too many people just don't think they need to learn. Sooooo many people can't tell where the back (and sometimes front) of their car ends, can't steer effectively and just have no strategy for getting where they are trying to go. If I was dictator for a day no learner would be allowed on the road until they can park, reverse and do 3-point turns competently. That's how I learned! I was driving years before I was old enough to go on the road. Dad used to joke that it took me half a tank of petrol to put the cars away at night because I would be up and down the driveway (forwards and reverse) around the back yard, between the tree and the fence (3-4"clearance each side) etc etc. I could back a trailer up the drive around the dog-leg at the garage and up the back yard when I was 15. Over the years these skills have served me well.
Dad was the reason I learned this. He taught and encouraged me; and was himself better at manouvouring that I'll ever be. [There are plenty of people who couldn't reverse a car around the back of my parent's place yet I've seen him back a 17' caravan around that corner.] I pity kids whose parents are poor drivers. They have no roll model, no teacher and probably no realization that their skills are deficient. Unfortunately we have to share the road with them!
It must be a Werribee plaza thing, I came back to this the other day after doing my grocery shopping. My car is the small blue one on the right. The driver of the white Toyota was exiting his vehicle from the passenger side. He apologised profusely about his poor parking, I still don't understand why he parked there in the first place, the carpark was about 3/4 empty, and why he didn't just reverse into the carpark opposite, instead he climbed over the centre console and left his car parked like this.
Luckily I was on my way home, so I just backed out and left.
Hate to say stereotypical Toyota driver, but if the badge fits...
Unfortunately this type of parking may be symptomatic of the poor driving skills evident everyday on the roads, but maybe I'm just an old fart having a whinge?
Hilarious. She really should've just followed the arrow
Saw something quite idiotic myself the other day, there was a Honda Accord that was parked with half the car literally outside of the parking space. Should've taken a pic.
