Focuser mechs

I have an Orion EON 800mm refractor, that has had some focuser slip issues.

Looking at the focuser shows a small bar being rolled along a flat section on the tube. Sometime weight and position makes it slip, even with just a 450d an a few tubes on the end.

Is there a replacement focuser that has a solid, say rack and pinion, with very fine adjustment? and a good solid lock down mech.

Not a R&P but you can't go wrong with a Moonlite crayford. I've bought two Moonlites and can't fault them except for their price. Feathertouch are another option, but I've never used one.

I've actually just ordered a GSO Linear Bearing crayford which gets good reviews and apparently ticks all the boxes (no slop or focus shift when locking, can handle high loads for imaging). Build quality doesn't look anywhere near as good as the Moonlite in the images I've seen of it (apparently it's better than it looks though), but it was much cheaper as well. I should have it today or tomorrow, fingers crossed.
