NGC5128 - The Hamburger - 1hr

Oh well, 50mins of Luminance [5 subs] and 36mins of RGB [3 subs each] = 1hr 26mins.

It wasn't supposed to be so few a subs, but on the night the wind was relentless pushing most of the time around 20km to 30km. I had 31 Lum subs from the night, 3 had stair cases, the balance were just badly bloated from the heavier gusts. Terry and I were largely saved by wind shields we concocted, and these work perfectly for breezes up to 4-5mtrs per sec.

Luckily it was a bright object, as this integration time wouldn't normally work for most objects out there.

It's actually a very fine image of Centaurus A and better than many (most) I have seen and most with much more exposure

Your portable enclosure is very cool...almost makes me want to give up the dome and observatory and go back to a more rustic astroimagers existent!

Cheers Marc and Mike, the wind break really does work and is very compact, and Josh, you know I love my van. Challenging Rolfs effort? I don't think so, but hey, worth a laugh, cheers Mike.

Trevor no matter what, its satisfying to get out when we can hey, imaging under the dark night sky is like a pressure relief value to the stresses of every day life.
