Hi IIS,
Some of you may remember the Virtual Star Party on G+ from the Fraser Cain and the Universe Today guys. It's been dormant for a while and was kinda Northern Hemisphere focussed when it was running. A lot of us miss the broadcasts, they were great!
There are almost 40 of us on G+ interested in resurrecting the idea in a new chan called "Global Star Party" - (

Basically we'd try to run a monthly live broadcast of telescopes from around the world using Google Hangouts, which is as simple as firing up your browser then sharing the window from your imaging computer while you image as you'd normally be doing.
We aren't looking for performers and would have others doing the hosting and commentary, just looking for more amateur astronomers to share the live feed from their telescope / capture software as it happens.
If this is something you think you might be interested in let me know and I'll send you an invite to the astronomer-only section where we coordinate the broadcasts. Or even if you'd like to share images and commentary too. You may just want to watch!
Thanks!
Dylan.
