First Orion

First attempt at orion last night with modded 1100d with no filters and moon out. Only used 2 subs at iso1600 and 10 secs with 6.3 reducer. Light pollution terrible.

Trying to learn the basics of dss by other posts.

Regards
Kon

nice one Kon,

a good start, you've got good framing and pretty good focus. just need to collect a lot more frames for stacking and longer subs.

also look into how to take darks and flats they make a massive difference in the end result.

cheers

M42

Well done Kon,Russell advice is spot on, more subs and Darks equaling at least half your subs.
Not my first image of M42, however it is the first captured with my Canon DSLR 70D, 40xsubs,20darks @30",ISO1600.Stacked in DSS, I think it's a fair start, clear skies.
