Meade series 5000 EP's

Can anyone tell me how the Meade series 5000 ep's are performing? Are they as good as the Meade marketing guys will have us believe.They sure do look & sound good.

Bob from Skies unlimtied has got some meade 5000 series UW that he wants to test against the Nagler's.....his first impresions were good but due to weather lately he has hasn't had the chance to test properly.....

BTW Bob is from the States.

I am curious too, if you check this thread you'll find some very favourable comment on the S5000 14mm UWA http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthrea...54/Main/370233 Given that the street price in the US is $199 and that Bintel have them advertised at $285 they may be good value but Bintel advise that they are not yet available in Oz
