Sorry, I'm having trouble getting the images down to 200KB - back soon.
After the excitement of the previous two nights of amazing aurora activity, the 17th missed due to heavy cloud over all of Tasmania, and the 18th due to a bad call on my part, off I trecked.
And the aurora did NOT disappoint me, the photos are all in focus (a real bonus!) and I even saw - The Blob! (The blob seems to be some curtain like activity at 45 deg to the man in event - I saw it to the west of the aurora which as south, but a tad more westerly than usual. It's appeared for the last few nights, a totally new phenomena for us in Tassie.)
I consider myself a very fortunate little photographer.
All with Canon 60D, Tamron 20-35 f2.8, all shot at f 2.8/30secs, ISO 1250-2000
Edited with CaptureOne7Pro only, so some are crooked. I may pretty them up a bit more later.
I also have a video at
Vimeo - Its my first go at t and for some reason it sticks a bit - just keep your mouse on the corner of the screen and wiggle it a bit, it does restart and play to the end.
