NGC 1365 Fornax

Hi folks this is 3hr eight mins of 500sec and 300sec ISO 400 frames with Canon 60Da and Vixen 8" newt.

I'm a fan of 1365, was the first galaxy I saw visually whose ghostly figure resembled images!

Same as Dunk, this was the first galaxy I actually saw the structure of. Great photo!

That's looking really good Graham. It is just incredible how many background galaxies can be seen in that area - kind of like peering into the treasures of time. Very exciting. Strange thing is, when I got my scope around 2 years ago, I purchased a bunch of EP's that I have hardly used. I have never seen a galaxy through a scope, such is the buzz I get from AP I really neglect them. I think I should have a night where visual is the main aim.

I agree Bruce about the visual, though sometimes I leave the camera running and get my binos out. Especially when Winters here and it's milky way time!!
