Arrow Luna: Clavius 2x - 14/09/2006

Hi all

Here's an 2-image mosaic of Clavius taken with the 2x barlow, while the moon was at an uncomfortable 25° altitude.

Seeing was quite good, with some local tube currents passing waves across the capture.

23 point MAP processing helped get the sharpest frames amongst the waves.

Clavius is another of luna's most imaged features, probably only behind Copernicus, Tycho and Plato

The attached image is an 800px wide sized down version. The full 1150px wide version with much less compression can be downloaded here (300k jpeg).

I have some of the same area with the 3x and 5x barlows still to process
