comparison sub of NGC 3242

Having seen chuckywiz"s single frame of NGC 3242, using his ED80, I thought I would do an identical sub with my 8"Newt, and see what difference there would be. Same 30 secs @ 800 ISO. Untouched, straight out of the camera apart from downsizing for IIS.

looks good.. is very unassuming straight off the camera but blown up is pretty cool. might have to dig my 10 inch tube out and have another look at it.

I realised after I posted the image that I had stuffed up the comparison
because I used a 2x barlow to make the target a bit bigger.

if i can be bothered putting my dob back together by the weekend ill go out somewhere dark and take some good comparison shots of a few targets as well.. i really shouldnt be so lazy haha i only have to put the side roller things on the tube to make it work again.
