The Good Old Days Binoculars

Hi All,

I have just finished watching an Article on The Nat Geo Channel,re the sinking of the Titanic,

They said Mostly, the Binoculars used in those days, were approx Magnification of 4 to 5X,with a FOV,of about 4 DEG,
AND,
Here's me,having a little sook,because my 15x70's are only 4.5 deg,and not the 5.4 Deg,that is possible with 82 Deg Eyepieces.

The mind Boggles,
To say the least,Binocular Astronomy,in those days,(if it existed), must have been Rather Difficult.

As I am sure, most of us,have been reminded by our parents,We remember the good old days,When!!!!!

Sorry,Mum/Dad,You can keep the "good ol days",all to yourselves

Regards.
John
