M57 Ring Nebula

Hi everyone,

here is a couple images of M57, both are from 10x2 minutes @ 800 iso and 10x2 minutes @3200 iso stacked in Registax with darks a flats created in Registax. Images were taken as RAW and then converted to TIFF before stacking. Processed in Astra Image.

1. =lighter to show IC1296 Spiral Galaxy near by at magnitude 14.3 size=1.1'x0.8'

2. = darker image to show the colours of the nebula better.

M57 gets to a maximum of 20 degrees above the northern horizon from my place.

Hi Scott, Mike and Tony,

thanks for your replies. I may try a filter next to minimise the star diameters.

Thanks Houghy,

guess it would be a bit higher above the horizon from Queensland but not much.
