Welcome Jerome.
I had a look at your site and this meteorite intrigued me.
Looks like something out of a transformers movie.
could you provide some details on this or a link to its details?

Bonjour Jerome

Interesting website, I have a small meteorite collection as well. Nothing as impressive as what you have but I hope to slowly build it.

On the Blog of the site : http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/b...l-herault.html

Text taken from : Meteor-Center

A meteor crossed the sky French evening of 25 January 2008 at approximately 6:15 p.m.: many testimonials on the whole territory attest to a falling asteroid fragment in thenorth of the Herault and the sound of the explosions has was heard after the explosion of the fireball into four pieces. The two photos taken of the phenomenon since Ganges andVilleneuve les Avignon in Gard show a persistent drag light for several minutes finally broken and dispersed by currents and winds in altitude.

(picture taken of : Meteor-Center)

So I decided to go to this place ! Using Google Earth, I defined my area of research :

http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/m...s/image001.jpg

http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/m...image002-1.jpg

Me trying to find possible fragments of the fall :

http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/m...s/dsci0418.jpg

http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/m...s/dsci0413.jpg

I have not found anything on the ground but at the same time, I knew it because there is little chance of finding fragments because this fall is based from testimonies that do not provide the precise location of the fall. In addition, no fragments were found summersago. Nevertheless, beautiful landscapes were present ! :

I did something insane on the site!!!!!! The black background (which is behind the text) is 50% transparent !

There is therefore an improvement in the readability of content that can also see the beautiful background image of the site! I searched for 2 hours to find it
