Jupiter reprocess.

Hi all, this is my second attempt at trying to process my Jupiter data from two nights ago.
The gear used was a C8 telescope at fl20, asi120mc, televue 2 times barlow on a sw neq6pro mount.
As im still learning how to process my images any advice is appreciated.
cheers paul.

Keep up the great work.

Well, that's a good start if this is all new to you.

In terms of advice - why don't you post more about your current process, the software you use etc.

One of the immediate things, assuming your scope is well collimated and you have let it cool down to ambient, as wlel as waiting for good seeing, is to split the colour AVI into individual RGB components, process, and then recombine.

Hi Paul,

Great stuff. It is a beautiful shot. I too am new in this area.

Any tips or details on getting that image would be appreciated. I have C8 on a HEQ5 Pro and tried Jupiter the other week myself. My image is no way near as good as yours.

Kind regards,

Warren

Hi and thanks John Kev and Warren,
Warren I had made sure my c8 had cooled down properly
Prior to taking the avi and also had good polar alignment .
Other than that i used registax6 for stacking and for wavelet adjusting
Then over to PS for some sharpening and saturation adjustment .
All in all a very basic processing attempt due to my lack of skill .
Cheers Paul.

Awesome shot mate, so much details!
I would like it even more if it was a little bit brighter - but perhaps this is my monitor?
