Eric we dont allow anyone to give up.....lol

Still a nice image.......considering your using a DSLR on a 800mm fl scope your imaging field is going to be very large so you may find your going to crop the image anyway.

Nicely done.

Sickening - first night with new equipment, hassles, trips at all hours for parts - still manages to pull off a great image! Well done.....
My first Dob/DSLR image (and my last!) was a smudgey moon, so out of focus its not funny......

Hi Eric,

very nice. Read about your long night out, its a good thing there is day light now so that you can rest, LOL.

Usually fast f ratio Newtonians require field flattener/ coma corrector. I used one many years ago on my 16" f4.5 which reduced the coma but also the fainter stars became invisible; so there is a compramise.

All the best.
