Massive Solar flare -Ha!

Hi All,

I'm sharing a pic of the Sun in Ha, there was a massive flare on it at this time, I think that if I looked at it a few hours earlier then I'd have a image of a complete loop.

The full Sun disc is a 5 frame mozaic.

Taken with a SolarMax II 60mm and a DMK21au618.

Thank for looking.

Good catch! Perhaps a little too much noise reduction on the FD edges?

Like the images and can see why people are interested in the activity of the sun when you can capture images like this. One day I will grab a solar scope, but for now all I can do is sit back and enjoy the fruits of other peoples' labour! Cheers

Thanks for the replies.

I just wish I had more time to use the solar scope.
