Ian Musgrave's 2015 highlights

Hi guys,

I have always found Ian's Aussie sky rundown very handy particularly for planetary conjunctions and lunar eclipses. 2015's is now up on the abc website.

Of course you could always view his weekly updates on his blog

Great to see this link, thanks for putting it up.

Ian's articles in the old Australian astro magazine were very good.
He wrote the best amateur astro articles ever.Such a shame that magazine
is gone and replaced with a boring yank magazine that has a bit of window dressing.

Thanks OP,and thanks Ian for your blog page, should be a sticky on this forum. As its supposed to be about amateur astronomy.

I'm a huge fan of Ian's astro blog as well and I use his blogs regularly on our fb page. Ian's got a lot of fans out there that's for sure. He does brilliant ABC radio interviews too. Also his other web page, Southern Sky Watch is very good too. http://www.users.on.net/~reynella/skywatch/ssky.htm

I must go tell Ian there's a thread on him .

He'll be on the radio this Sunday morning talking about the asteroid flyby on the 26th:

Tune in Sunday to 891 ABC at 11:40 am ACDST (11:10 AEDST, 10:10 AEST) this Sunday to hear my dulcet tones (they are streaming if you are outside of SA, follow the links in the post).

Yes,Suzy its a shame Ian's blog page is not promoted on this site.I did ask about him on this forum years ago,but got little info.

Without doubt his blog page is the best on amateur astronomy, and is very helpful.I'll certainly be checking it out on a regular basis.Hope the mods here make a sticky of it so easy access to it be made.Always enjoyed Ian's articles in the old real Australian astro magazine-I always bought them.

Thanks Ian for your fine blog page.

Ian, I think it's time you set up an fb page for astro blog that people can "Like". It's a good way to reach a large audience and an easy way of getting all your blogs by clicking "get notifications".

As it stands now, the only way I keep tabs of your blogs is because you're my fb buddy & have clicked to get notifications, but unfortunately not a lot of your fans are your fb buddies.

Would you consider it?
I will promote it on our fb page.

A FB page for Atsroblog?

That's a possibility, but it's juts one more thing to do. After making a post, then tweeting it, then FBing it (a frustrating task as the Addit feed to FB keeps changing the information it sends) doing multiple FB's seems more of a pain. Will investigate though.
