Jupiter from Melbourne in good IR conditions this morning

Hi guys,

Hit some good conditions this morning for IR imaging of Jove. Lot's of activity on the "boring" side of the planet.

Was way too busy getting IR shots to bother putting on the filter wheel which is normally on the scope, but will do so during the week and have a go at an RGB composite image as seeing is meant to be quite good most of the week.

Hope others are having a go as we are definitely in Jove season now.

clear skies,

John K.

Very good John, that feature in the middle almost looks like another big spot forming...?

Good detail John. The equatorial region reminds me a lot of 2006-2008. How was the seeing on the RGB runs?

Hi Paul - did not try an RGB run as I did not have my filter wheel attached.

An image from my first run also attached and an animation link here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/johnkazanas/16191294110/
